the location was perfect, just a short walk from beautiful Plaza Colon and only a few steps from the Maritime Museum, where I enjoyed a great afternoon exploring the city's history.

The location is perfect for exploring Old San Juan.
My stay at La Capitana was disappointing and fraught with issues. The apartment itself didn’t match the photos—there were cracked walls and signs of wear, making it feel neglected and unclean.

Recommend it for solo travelers
I really enjoyed the ocean view room – AC was nice and cold when I walked in! Plus, it's just a short walk from everything in town, so I could grab a coffee and head out quickly.
It wasn’t exactly cheap but still acceptable for what you get.

The location is ideal, with quick access to the vibrant sights and cultural gems nearby. I appreciated the sizeable apartment, featuring massive, cozy beds that made for restful nights. The kitchen and bathroom could use some updates, but they served their purpose well during my stay. I enjoyed the crispy fries from a nearby eatery, which were a delightful snack after exploring. Just a note, key pick-up at the nearby hotel was an extra step, but manageable.

The location was a true highlight, allowing easy access to the vibrant sights in the area. The apartment was spacious, and the air conditioning worked effectively, which was essential in the summer heat. However, the bathroom was tiny, and the overall decor was quite worn, indicating a need for renovations. While the kitchen appeared functional, the lack of updates impacted the overall experience. Friendly staff were present to assist, but retrieving the keys from a separate location was a bit inconvenient.
